FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: during scooping of mined bulk and extension of dipper stick relative to saddle bearings, drums in crowding gear rotate clockwise, and crowding force transmitted by ropes acts on dipper stick. When dipper stick is retracted, the drums rotated counterclockwise and backward force acts on dipper stick. Rope tension is adjusted by means of screw joints. EFFECT: reduced dynamic loads on gear, increased its maintainability due to quick replacement of ropes, and higher reliability of gear. 2 dwg
