FIELD: preparation of a pattern on glass. SUBSTANCE: the etching solution comprises hydrofluoric acid, glycerol, polyacrylamide and water and further comprises hydrochloric acid and selenic acid, the ratio of the components being as follows (wt % ): 55.0-65.0 hydrofluoric acid; 8.5-11.0 glycerol; 3.0-5.0 polyacrylamide; 5.0-6.0 hydrochloric acid; 3.0-4.0 selenic acid; and water, the balance.
