FIELD: power plant engineering. SUBSTANCE: power unit has at least two chambers 1 and 2 that function as reactors for producing and dissociating gas hydrate compound used as working medium. Gas hydrate compound is formed, as methane-propane mixture is supplied to chambers 1 and 2, filled with water, in advance, through emulsifiers 3 and 4 while cool heat-transfer agent is admitted to heat exchangers 9 and 10. As soon as chambers 1 and 2 are filled with and air, warm heat-transfer agent is fed to heat exchangers 9 and 10. Gas emitted in the process is supplied through loops 15 and 16 in turn to turbine 18. Unit has auxiliary loops 19 and 20 for circulation of nonresponsive gas. Turbine 18 can be connected to electrolyzer through generator. Heat liberated during electrolysis is supplied to heat exchanger 29. EFFECT: improved design. 6 cl, 3 dwg
