FIELD: automotive engineering. SUBSTANCE: rotary machine, such as an internal combustion engine, has hollow casing accommodating drive and driven rotors, compression and expansion chambers confined by cylindrical surfaces of casing interior, drive and driven rotors, and labyrinth seals of working chambers. Surfaces of the interior of the casing and part of the drive rotor confining the compression chamber, as well as part of outer cylindrical surface of the driven rotor, are smooth. Surfaces of the interior of the casing and part of driven rotor confining the expansion chamber have labyrinth seals. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 dwg
