FIELD: power engineering; rotary engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed method of sealing of rotary engine working chambers by way of minimization of clearances in noncontact sealings comes to the following: coating with wear resistance and hardness lower than wear resistance and hardness of housing and rotors is applied to working surfaces of engine, at least on working surface of housing. Thickness of coating is increased and coating is lapped by mating members during operation of engine. Coating is applied at nominal power output of engine by delivering substance whose melting temperature or sublimation temperature is lower than maximum temperature of working cycle and height than working temperature of housing and rotors. This substance is fed into working duct. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of noncontact seals of rotary engine by decreasing leakage of working medium. 6 cl, 7 dwg
