FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic former has radiating current-conducting membrane 1, made in form of a segment of sphere, and concentric motionless current-conducting membrane 2. There is a space 3 between the membranes; size of the space is equal to 0,1-0,3 mm. Membranes 1 and 2 are connected along the external end by flexible current-conducting ring 4. Membrane 2 is disposed onto dielectric base 5, provided with holes 6, which connect cavity 3 with atmosphere. High-voltage source 7 is connected with capacitor storage 9 through ballasting resistor 8 and with high-voltage switch 10. One pole of high voltage source 7 is connected to the center of motionless membrane 2 by means of conductor 11. Conductor 12 connects the other pole of source 7 on the center of membrane 1. EFFECT: improved power of hydraulic pulse due to increase in amplitude of mutual displacement of current-conducting units. 2 cl, 1 dwg
