FIELD: scintillators for ionizing irradiation detectors. SUBSTANCE: powders of lithium fluoride and titanium oxide are mixed, and melt prepared is heated and crystallized. Crystals are ground, and powder obtained is caked in the air in mold under pressure 335-345 MPa at 765-775 K for 20-25 min. Ceramic scintillators on the lithium fluoride-base are made. EFFECT: improved method of making.
