FIELD: registration of ionizing radiation. SUBSTANCE: detector includes scintillator, light-reflecting skin, tight container incorporating output window and centering rings on side of output window and on opposite side. Salient feature of detector consists in that part of container opposite to output window and face end of scintillator facing it have convex shape. Centering ring opposite to output window is manufactured from flexible material. It is laid over inner surface of input window, has variable inner diameter bigger on side of scintillator and is interference fitted on face of scintillator. Process of assembly of proposed detector includes mounting of scintillator in container, its centering, moulding of light-reflecting skin, sealing. Novelty of process lies in that after mounting of flexible centering ring inside container and before moulding of light-reflecting skin stationary technological bushing is put inside container from side opposite to input window, is anchored in position of touching of centering ring and then part of light-reflecting skin is moulded from side of input window of container.
