FIELD: scintillation engineering. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in filling of the gap between the container internal surfaces and crystal external surfaces with reflecting material powder and powder compaction in the gap by reciprocal motion of the compacting tubular member. The novelty in the method of assembly is the fact that the crystal is placed inside a bag expanding in the top part over the bag inside diameter, and then in the process of formation of the light-reflecting shell the bag is placed along the crystal in such a manner that its lower edge is on the formed layer of the cylindrical part of the light-reflecting shell. EFFECT: full prevention of mechanical damages of crystal side surfaces in the process of its packing in container.
