FIELD: glass industry. SUBSTANCE: neck ring has two made of heat conducting materials half-bodies, that contact each other by a parting plane. Half-inserts are fixed in a forming cavity coaxially to the half-bodies and nondetachable joint is formed. Half-bodies and half-inserts are manufactured, using powder metallurgy method. Half-bodies are made from material with high factor of heat conductivity and half-inserts - from heat-resistant and wear-resistant material. Method provides for production of different sizes blanks of half-bodies and inserts - as entire ellipsoidal form hollow cylinders, using powder pressing and sintering with following copper saturation and hot-stamping of inserts. Then half-bodies and an insert are joined into a monolith. Then the insert is cut along the parting plane and the outer surface of the parting plane and inner working surface are processed.
