FIELD: powder metallurgy, processes and equipment for producing sintered articles by impregnation, possibly manufacture of carrying members of friction units.
SUBSTANCE: sintered product includes porous matrix of powder material whose pores are filled with easy-to-melt material with heat conduction and plasticity values exceeding those of matrix material. Volume of pores filled with easy-to-melt material is in range 15 - 50%. On surface of matrix layer of easy-to-melt material is formed; outer surface of said layer has waviness whose sh at least partially corresponds to distribution of porous structure outlets on surface of matrix. Thickness of main part of easy-to-melt material layer is no less than 0.2 mm. Article is formed by pressing powder blank and impregnation briquette and by further sintering of them at simultaneous infiltration. Dimension of main part of pores is in range 20 - 150 micrometers.
EFFECT: improved heat conductivity, reduced contact thermal resistance at the same strength characteristics.
