FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: electrode heater includes heating chamber 2 placed into housing partially filled with intermediate heat-transfer agent and provided with phase electrodes 3 and heat exchanger 4 located in gas volume of heating chamber. Heating chamber 2 communicates with compensation vessel 5 through normally open valve 6 which drive is built in the form of bellows 7 positioned between space of heating chamber 2 and atmosphere.
