FIELD: machine engineering; metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method consists in supplying the metal to mould, drawing of ingot from it at variable speed, setting the mould to reciprocal motion, supplying the slag mixture to meniscus of metal in the mould, as well as supplying the lubricant to the surface of casing along perimeter of ingot in the mould below the metal meniscus. Lubricant is supplied at a distance equal to 5 ... 20 thicknesses of ingot from metal meniscus over the length equal to 2 ... 10 thicknesses of ingot. Flow rate of lubricant is adjusted within 0.4 ... 1.0 of the flow rate of slag mixture. EFFECT: improved quality of ingots; enhanced efficiency of casting. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
