FIELD: manufacture of permanent magnets based on rare-earth metals. SUBSTANCE: alloy based on rare-earth elements is crushed and obtained powder is charged into grinding chamber together with tumbling bodies and protective fluid. Chamber is sealed, and its free volume is filled with inert gas. Grinding is effected, briquettes are formed and subjected to thermal treatment. In this case, before filling inert gas into chamber free space, protective fluid is degassed by evacuation of chamber to residual pressure of not more than 60 Pa and holding up to ceasing of gas liberation. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
