PROCESS FOR PREPARING MACROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture; used as nematodes for the treatment of animals and man suffering from an endoparasitic and/or fungal infection, and as pesticides. SUBSTANCE: the product: macrocyclic compounds of the formula 1 wherein R¹ is CH₃,, C₂H₅ or iso-C₃H₇; R² and R³ are H, OR⁴ - OH, OCH₃, C₁-C₆-alkanoyloxy group optionally substituted by a phenoxy group or -OCOOR⁵ wherein R⁵-C₁-C₅-alkyl. Reagent 1: the compound of the formula 1 wherein R² and R³ together form an L-group wherein L is a R″ - OCOSO- group wherein R″ is (C₁-C₆)-alkylphenyl or phenyl OR⁴ is OH. Reagent 2: tin hydroakyl, such as tert. -n-butyltinhydride. Reaction conditions: in the presence of a radical initiator such as azobisisobutyronitrile, or exposed to light, and the resulting compound of the formula 1 wherein OR⁴=OCH₃ or C₁-C₆-alkanoyloxy group optionally substituted by a phenoxy group, and, if desired, the former is converted into a compound of the formula 1 wherein OR⁴ - OH which compound if desired, is converted by an acid halide into a compound of the formula 1 wherein OR⁴=OCOOR⁵ group. The compound of the formula 1 used in an amount of 10 mg/kg reduces the number of nematodes by 80%. EFFECT: improved properties of the macrocyclic compounds. 2 tbl
