FIELD: quenching equipment. SUBSTANCE: quenching tank has a bath with quenching liquid and arranged in the bath transporting means in the form of inclined drum, having driving member, mounted on it and connected with a rotation drive unit, a shell with discharging port in its lower part and a working member in the form of helix or chutes, a shell with a drain pipe and a suction off pump with its rotation drive unit, mounted in the pipe, waste collector, arranged behind the suction off pump, a collector- shell, embracing the drum. Walls of a portion under the collector-shell are perforated. A useful volume is increased due to displacement of the collector and the drive unit of the suction off pump on a level of main technological apparatus higher, than a level of quenching liquid. The waste collector is in the form of magnetic separator, providing removal of solid wastes from the quenching liquid and its partial cooling. There is a second pump for providing an additional stream of the quenching liquid, being fed from spaced parts of the bath directly to a zone of discharging articles from a furnace. The discharging drum may be built-up one, the driving member of the drum is placed on a location of a butt of its parts. EFFECT: enhanced structure. 3 cl, 2 dwg
