FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: universal pump-compressor has hood with space accommodating oval housing with flanges and suction and discharge ports arranged in pairs. Space communicates with sources of heat carrier and cooler agents. Rotor is hollow and is installed in housing on semi-axles forming working spaces. Blades are arranged in rotor slots between sealing members and are installed for reciprocating and constant contact with surface of housing. Fastened on housing flanges are face covers with central holes to receive rotor semi-axles. Sleeve with ports communicating with housing ports is secured on inner surface of housing. Sleeve can be made of stainless steel. Sealing members can be made in form of spring-loaded glands with labyrinth seal at blade side. Made on side surfaces of blades are projections, and in covers, circular cavities mating with projections. Pump can have insert with central hole for one of rotor semi-axles and two guide cams secured on inner surface of housing at face cover side. Cavities are formed by surfaces of insert and cams.
