FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: vacuum switch has vacuum chamber, contact chamber, electromagnetic drive, immobile input contact with chamber shut with membrane and filled with molten metal which contacts mobile contact pressed with spring. Mobile contact breaks circuit by release with the aid of coil of electromagnetic drive. Rod is registered by catch for time of break. Contact chamber is filled with molten metal contacting rod of mobile contact and immobile mains contact. Valve to keep vacuum is built into vacuum chamber. Contact chamber is fitted with expansion chamber with membrane to release pressure. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, simplified design. 2 cl, 3 dwg
