FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: centrifugal contactor has body 3 divided into chambers and put on shaft 2 of rotor, mobile and immobile power contacts 7, 8 which number H equals number of closed electric circuits. Mobile power contacts 8 are attached to current taps 9 located on one end of spring-loaded rod 12 and insulated from rod with the aid of dielectric material 10. The other end of rod carries additional weight 16. Rod 12 moves radially in antifriction bushing 13. Mobile current taps 9 are connected with the use of flexible conductive jumpers 34 to outleading current wires 33. Internal surface of power chambers 18 is lined with arc-controlling dielectric 19 and each pair of power contacts 7, 8 can be fitted with arc chute 37. In one of chutes contact pairs 24, 25 and 24, 26 of break and make circuits of automatic control and circuits of limit protection are located.
