FIELD: production of furniture. SUBSTANCE: sofa has three cushions positioned in succession so that "bed" position is provided. One of outer cushions is mounted for withdrawal on wheeled support, which is formed as a cart. Device for converting sofa into bed has a pair of poles, which are pivotally coupled with their upper ends to longitudinal side of outer cushion disposed adjacent to carcass rear wall. Lower ends of poles are coupled with cart. Middle cushion is pivotally connected with its one side to withdrawable cart for moving with its opposite side relative to outer cushion adjacent to carcass rear wall. Retaining device has a pair of chamfered protrusions disposed on reverse side of cushion and a pair of chamfered thrust slots in base. EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing easy conversion of sofa into bed. 2 cl, 3 dwg
