FIELD: production of transformable furniture. SUBSTANCE: sofa-bed has carcass with rigidly fixed sides, hollow box, seat positioned for movement in forward direction, back and transformation mechanism comprising two pairs of levers pivotally connected to double-sided back. One side of back is configured in accordance with anatomical "sofa" position and other side is made flat in accordance with "bed" position. Transformation mechanism has two tie-rods for pivotally connecting back to hollow box, which is mounted on supporting wheels. Free ends of levers are pivotally connected to sides, which are rigidly connected with back wall. Seat is combined with box cover. According to particular embodiment, sofa-bed has retractable head rest or telescopic sides composed of immovable and movable parts. Immovable parts of sides are mounted on supporting and guiding wheels for displacement of movable parts of sides thereon, with sides being rigidly connected with box.
