FIELD: farming; potato storage. SUBSTANCE: method provides for regulation of temperature in potato storage at atmospheric pressure, forced ventilation and control of relative humidity. Air temperature in upper zone of storage is increased with formation of condensate on special area of ceiling. When condensate disappears, temperature is decreased to former one. Device for potato storage is designed for potato storage equipment with structure and ceiling and with systems of forced ventilation and automatic control of microclimate parameters. Device has metal core located in ceiling. Heat conduction of core is higher than that of ceiling. Provision is made for condensate transmitter mounted at core end face and connected with system of automatic control of microclimate parameters.
