RECEIVING HOPPER-DRYERS FOR POTATOES Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A01F25/18

Abstract RU 2395192 C2

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, namely to mechanisation of work in potato warehouses of small capacity in conditions of the North. The hopper-dryer consists of a receiving hopper in the form of the truncated pyramid with a receiving opening with a hinged door, tilting-type bottom with a nozzle for discharge and a fan layout with a flaring-air duct attached to the tilting-type bottom from the outside. The receiving hopper is equipped with grating cover for air-out from the bunker. Tilting-type bottom of the hopper has continuous longitudinal slits for fan discharging of external air enabling to perform an intense ventilation and drying of wet potatoes loaded into the hopper, which afterward slips spontaneously through the nozzle for discharge.

EFFECT: provision of the reduction of disease incidence of tubers with buck eye rot and other diseases, and increase of mechanical strength of tubers.
