FIELD: technology of benefication of minerals. SUBSTANCE: the process for benefication of vein quartz comprises mechanical crushing of rock, washing it with water, heating to 1000-1100 C, thermal crushing, grinding, screening into the working fraction, magnetic separation, flotation, chemical treatment, washing, filtration, drying and calcination; prior to heating the crushed vein quartz to 1000-1100 C, the thermal pretreatment is conducted at 200-250 C and the acid pretreatment is conducted with 20-25% hydrochloric acid for 1.5-2.0 hr followed by washing to neutral reaction. EFFECT: improved properties of vein quartz. 2 tbl
