FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes alternation of moving fabric exposure to contact stress and hydrostatic pressure of fluid. Fabric is additionally passed through zone filled with noncondensing and conditioning gas at pressure higher than pressure in vessel by 2-10 kPa. Then, fabric is passed through fluid with temperature of vessel medium. Device for realization of this method has mechanical gate and hydrostatic seal and having means for fabric conveyance. Device has vessel separating medium with built-in wringer. Vessel is located behind the hydrostatic seal after which additional hydrostatic seal is installed. Vessel separating medium is communicated with gas supply main line and atmosphere, and main and additional hydrostatic seals are communicated with sources of cold and hot working fluids by means of controlled valves.
