FIELD: fiber-optic communication lines. SUBSTANCE: fiber-crystal polarizer has three birefringent uniaxial monocrystals made of dame material and optical fiber length having section with reduced sectional dimensions and made in the form of neck. First monocrystal is in optical contact with narrow section of optical fiber, second and third ones are contact with optical fiber section abutting its neck. Monocrystals are essentially shells of respective optic fiber sections. Each monocrystal is located on mica strip. Optical axes of monocrystals are orthogonal to optical fiber axis.
