FIELD: fiber-optical technology. SUBSTANCE: gyroscope has emitting module, first coupler, polarizer, second coupler, fiber circuit, phase modulator and photodetector module arranged in sequence and connected by means of optical fiber. Two converters of one polarization mode of fiber to another are manufactured in the form of twisted and fixed thinned sections of fiber. One converter is located in fiber circuit and the other converter is positioned in free loop of phase modulator. Phase modulator is manufactured in the form of free fiber loop which input and output lengths are laid and fixed on surface of piezoceramic element in the form of two parallel fibers of equal length. EFFECT: substantially reduced quadrature signal and consequently increased precision of fiber-optical gyroscope thanks to decreased shift and drift of zero. 3 dwg
