SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of gyroscope equipment and pertains to a fibre-optic gyroscope. The fibre-optic gyroscope comprises a multi-turn closed fibre contour in the form of a single-mode birefringent light guide, an emitter, a photodetector, two couplers, a polariser, a phase modulator, a phase detector, an amplifier, a filter, and a generator. The fibre contour is made in the form of an optical fibre contour wound on a frame constituting a one-sided surface.
EFFECT: increase in the sensitivity of the gyroscope.
