OBSERVATORY DOME Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: construction. SUBSTANCE: dome has tubular seal with rope inside it. Seal is located on radius section of C-shaped profile. Rope ends are connected with return spring and movable hook. Gate is trough-shaped with flanges located along side walls. Wall and other radius section of profile form labyrinth. Gate is moved over guides by means of drive manually with the help of rope on which limiters are installed to limit free motion of gate relative to rope drive. Limiters interact with gate alternately. When limiter interacts with hook, when gate assumes closed position, rope is tensioned to press seal to flange. EFFECT: improved sealing of observation opening gate. 2 dwg
