FIELD: mining automatic equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has body accommodating horizontal cylindrical rod and beam perpendicular to rod and rigidly connected to it. Device is additionally supplied with plate, ohmmeter and flexible cord in form of conductive rubber cord placed in insulating enclosure of flexible material, e.g., of rubber or latex. Rod is secured in body for free rotation about horizontal axis. Secured to rod surface is one end of cord with provision of electric contact of core with rod. The other end of cord is attached to body wall through which without electric contact with wall the other core end is passed. Other end of core and body are connected with ohmmeter inputs. Plate is attached to free end of beam with its concavity directed towards ventilating air flow. Device makes it possible to take at any moment the ohmmeter readings of flexible cord core resistance which is proportional to square of ventilating air velocity. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
