FIELD: fire prevention. SUBSTANCE: fire extinguisher uses a knapsack tank, hose, service reservoir with a movable piston, discharge and check valves, spray injector, as well as powder pressure accumulators with initiation facilities, drain valve, spring which returns the piston to the initial position. Besides, a deflector is secured on a guide in the nozzle axis, used to split the fluid jet and reduce the impulsive force of recoil acting on the operator; the relationship between the cross-section area of the deflector shutting off the jet and the nozzle outlet area is determined by calculated expression, depending on the necessity to reduce the dynamic influence on the operator to a certain extent, preserving the effectiveness of fire fighting by a high-energy sprayed jet with a uniform distribution of fluid particles in the flow.
