FIELD: pulsed-action fire-extinguishing equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has cylindrical housing filled with fire-extinguishing powder, unit with pyrotechnic charge and ignitor. Unit is mounted in housing bottom and separated from powder by piston. Cylindrical housing is further provided with closure for hermetical sealing of housing at its open end. Piston has perforations with radially symmetrical equally spaced centers positioned in circular lines concentric relative to piston axis. Total area of perforation sections is equal to 3.5-25% of piston section area. Actual value of total perforation section area is selected in accordance with required distance of outburst of dispersed fire-extinguishing powder flow. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
