FIELD: removing oil slick spread over water surface. SUBSTANCE: used as sorbent is waste of paper and pulp plants, i.e., flash drying fiber. EFFECT: higher rate of absorption of oil slick spread over water surface (absorption factor 3-5), intensified utilization of product of paper and pulp waste processing, simple removal of oil with sorbent and easy separation of oil from sorbent (oil removal amounts to 70%) with subsequent utilization of sorbent by burning. 1 tbl
