FIELD: quantum electronics. SUBSTANCE: method is based on two-frequency injection of main and supplementary frequencies into resonator of wide-band laser which active medium has microsecond pulse duration. Main frequency is injected into maximum of amplification circuit, supplementary frequency is injected into its slope. Ratio of intensities of main and supplementary frequency conform to condition that their total energy is greater than saturation energy of laser active medium. Efficiency is increased due to suppression of wide-band noise. When low-level signal is amplified it is injected into maximum of amplification circuit, supplementary frequency is simultaneously injected to its slope. Intensity of supplementary frequency is greater than intensity of injected emission at main frequency. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities. 2 cl, 2 dwg
