FIELD: hand or traveling articles. SUBSTANCE: automatic umbrella has hollow rod made of telescopic pipes whose outer side provided with openings for catching a dog, spring for putting up of the umbrella, and bushing and bit used for securing section folding frame to a cap made of textile which are mounted for longitudinal movements. Each section has main, additional and bearing needles which pivotally interconnect top, bottom and intermediate rings. The bottom ring is rigidly connected with the bushing. Internal side of the hollow rod provided with openings for engaging with the dog and spring for taking down the umbrella is provided with a handle with starting member which is made of locking member with push-button for automatic putting up and taking down of the umbrella, mechanism for protecting from spontaneous pressing on the push-button, and starter. The umbrella is provided with a cylinder positioned around of outer pipe under the intermediate ring for receiving the spring for putting up the umbrella and inner coupling with a slot and mounted for longitudinal movements together with movable bushing provided with top and bottom dogs. The outer pipe has a narrowed neck in the middle part which separates it into two sections. The bottom section is provided with top and bottom openings for engaging with the dogs and top section is provided with top and bottom openings for engaging with dogs and longitudinal guide groove provided with through opening which is in communication with inner space of outer pipe whose bottom part is provided with a handle with a clamp and starting member positioned on side of the handle.
