FIELD: thermal treatment of welded and stamped workpieces. SUBSTANCE: workpieces are heated in two stages inside furnace interior insulated by sand gate. First stage involves heating to a temperature of 150 - 200°C followed by holding for 2-3 hours, and second stage involves heating to temperatures of 500 - 700°C followed by holding for a time period between 0.25 and 2 hours. The furnace charge is formed so that the ratio of the volume of the furnace interior to the area of workpieces would not be greater than 0.05. EFFECT: enhanced strength characteristics and reliability of workpieces. 2 cl, 1 tbl
