FIELD: radiolocation. SUBSTANCE: part of tested surface is irradiated by a signal. Reflected signal is received and squared, accumulated and normalized. Signal irradiated by tested part of surface is received, squared, accumulated and normalized. The first and the second quadrature components of reflected signal are selected. The resulting signal is formed by means of division of the second quadrature component to the first quadrature signal. Result of division is differentiated and normalized. Additional signal is formed and normalized. The signals are summed and the signal is compared with threshold signal after reflected, irradiated and additional signals are normalized. Before summing, each signal is compared to threshold. When signal excesses over the threshold, the constant positive signal should be summed. If signal is not available which excesses over the threshold, the zero signal should be summed. Device has aerial switch connected in series with high frequency amplifier, balance mixer, intermediate frequency amplifier, mated filter, detector, integrator, videoamplifier, threshold unit. Quadrature mixer is connected in series with comparison unit, the first divider, differentiating circuit, multiplier, squaring unit, the second integrator, subtracter, unit for multiplying by weight coefficient and the second threshold unit. The third integrator is connected in series with the second squaring unit. The third squaring unit is connected in series with adder and the second divider. The second unit for multiplying by weight coefficient is connected in series with the third threshold unit, process data logger, synchronizer and the fourth squaring unit. The second videoamplifier is connected in series with the fourth threshold unit. The third multiplication unit is connected in series with the fifth threshold unit. The fourth multiplication unit is connected in series with the sixth threshold unit. Device also has solving unit. EFFECT: improved efficiency of detection; improved truth of results. 2 cl, 4 dwg
