SUBSTANCE: lamp is started and discharge is maintained at first displacement of lamp about axis through angle of 70 to 100 deg. in operating time tdisplτ(h) found from equation given in description of invention. Then lamp is disconnected from power supply. Lamp operating time till next displacement during its life period tdisplτ(h) is found from expression given in description of invention.
