FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: gaseous-discharge lamp has burner of optically clear material filled with mercury and inert gas. Main and ignition electrodes electrically interconnected through limiting resistors are hermetically installed in each end of burner. Burner is attached to outer glass envelope. Components of element of lamp are so made that relation specified in description of invention is realized.
