SUBSTANCE: metal-halide lamp has halogen envelope of optically transparent material holding tightly fitted electrodes and filled with inert gas, mercury, and dopes to provide halogen envelope with at least scandium and sodium halides. Filling material is doped with elements providing for producing nickel halides; components are taken in definite proportion; inert gas pressure is maintained between 1.33 and 200.0 MPa.
