FIELD: electrometallurgy. SUBSTANCE: installed from above and below of copper casing 1 are copper rings 2, 3, interconnected by stiffening ribs 4, and steel rings 5, 6. Load-bearing clamp 7 passes through the rings, it takes up the electrode gravitational force through steel rings and threaded joints with nuts in its lower part. By means of nuts copper rings 2, 3 and casing 1 are tightly squeezed between steel rings 5, 6. Owing to it and provision of stiffening ribs 4, a uniform distribution of electrode weight load over the surface of copper rings 2, 3 is attained and bending loads on the electrode casing are prevented. The clearance between refractory rings 12 and steel ring 6 is taken up by screwing-in of supporting ring 11 located in the lower part of internal tube 8, thus complete tightness of the electrode is ensured.
