REAPER CUTTERBAR Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

Abstract RU 2020788 C1

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: cutterbar has fixed and movable knives which are segments tied together with a ribbon. The movable knife oscillates by means of a carrier between a cover plate and the fixed knife. The ribbon is a combination of sections locked together, and the mated ends have fancy butts. The fixed knife is a combination of interchangeable sections which are not tied together. The joint of the fixed knife and cover plate is detachable. This design of the cutterbar helps avoid deformation in assembling. As a result, development of clearance between the knives in operation is prevented and reliability is enhanced. EFFECT: higher reliability and maintainability. 7 cl, 12 dwg
