FIELD: chemistry, particularly, methods for producing sorbents. SUBSTANCE: object of this invention is preparation of composite sorbents based on hexacyanoferrates of transient metals and organic carriers. Desired sorbents are prepared by treating porous carrier with aqueous suspension of alkaline metal hexacyanoferrate and admixture of salts of one and the same transient metal having different degree of oxidation. EFFECT: composite sorbents prepared by this method excellently extract radio nuclides of cesium (up to 98.9 % ), strontium (up to 85.5 %) and thallium (up to 96.7 %), reluctantly dissolve in water (water solubility is below 0.01 %), effectively free drinking water of radio nuclides and decontaminate livestock fodder contaminated with radio nuclides and trap waters from nuclear power plants. 9 cl, 4 tbl
