FIELD: plastic working of metals. SUBSTANCE: method involves manufacturing panels from sheet blanks by pneumatic forming in superplastic state and simultaneously by controlling the rate of strain and position of sheet subject to forming by detecting gas bubbles exiting from pipeline, which is submerged into vessel filled with liquid and connected with cavity containing sheet subject to forming. Depth H of submersion of pipeline outlet is at least equal to value determined by the ratio of ρblm· δtot/ ρl, where ρblm is blank material density, δtot is blank material thickness, ρl is density of liquid. Upon termination of forming process depth of submersion of pipeline outlet is decreased to minimum value. EFFECT: high quality of products. 2 cl, 1 dwg
