FIELD: recovering of worn tyre casings. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating rubber-bearing wastes with destructed rubber suspension in high-boiling point hydrocarbon prior to thermal destruction, with rubber-bearing wastes being introduced into continuously circulating destructed rubber suspension at destruction temperature during continuous process of reprocessing; continuous feeding of high-boiling point hydrocarbons into reaction mixture obtained during reprocessing of rubber-bearing wastes; directing a portion of suspension of destructed rubber in high-boiling point hydrocarbons for recirculation; discharging remaining portion as final product; condensing gas-vapor mixture obtained in the process of thermal destruction of rubber-bearing wastes and simultaneously effectuating fractionation and separation of high boiling point hydrocarbon fraction; returning hydrocarbon fraction into the process. Apparatus has thermal destruction unit with two reactors and by-pass vessel for receiving suspension of destructed rubber from reactors. By-pass vessel has two outlet branch pipes. One of branch pipes is connected with destructed rubber suspension receiver and other branch pipe is connected with high-temperature working agent feed line, which is connected with reactors through pump. Apparatus is further provided with intermediate vessel, which is connected with reactors through discharge and recirculation lines.
