FIELD: manufacturing of artistic mosaic articles. SUBSTANCE: method involves laying thermoplastic film on hard base and providing uniform heating of film to temperature below melting temperature of film material and not exceeding destruction temperature of this material; placing mosaic members onto film and applying load to mosaic members within the range of 0.001-0.01 MPa. In case large-sized mosaic members are used, they are heated to temperature exceeding film melting temperature by 20-50 C. In case hothouse film is used, mosaic article base is heated to temperature below melting temperature of polyethylene by 10-20 C. When mosaic members having different thickness are used, loading is effectuated by means of loose material heated to temperature exceeding melting temperature of polyethylene by 50-100 C. EFFECT: high quality of mosaic product. 4 cl, 1 tbl
