FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: made on upper side of the piston groove bottom in one plane with it is bore which receives inner end of additional flexible split ring whose outer diameter is equal to outer diameter of working ring. Additional ring overlaps the end clearance between working ring and oiston groove bottom as well as cut of working ring, thus considerably reducing the inrush of gases from the combustion chamber and penetration of oil in it and enhancing starting of the engine, making operation of the working pressure more complete, reducing consumption for burning losses and improving ecological characteristics of the engine. Considerable reduction of inrush of gases into piston groove, into clearance between end of ring and piston groove bottom reduces to minimum gas-dynamic pressure of the working ring onto cylinder wall, thus reducing losses for friction, wear of cylinder, piston and ring and enhancing efficiency of the engine.
