FIELD: decontamination and storage of radioactive media. SUBSTANCE: in turn tank is pumped with live steam in mixture with decontamination solution, pure steam without decontamination solution, mixture of steam with alkali solutions and pure steam again. Condensation of steam and decontamination solutions on metal structures of tanks is carried out due to temperature difference of steam fog and tank surface. Device to realize method has frame of tank, pipe-line of decontamination solutions, injector chamber, pipe-line to feed steam, plate-reflector, outlet nozzle of injector, plate holders. Pipe-lines of decontamination solution and steam are vertically inserted into neck of tank frame. Injector chamber is coupled uniaxially to pipe-line to feed decontamination solutions so that end section of pipe-line is put deep inside ahead of outlet of injector nozzle. Pipe-line to feed steam is connected to injector chamber tangentially. EFFECT: increased efficiency of decontamination of tanks of large volumes. 2 cl, 2 dwg
