FIELD: chemical and petroleum-chemical industry branches. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of double-stage catalytic conversion of hydrocarbon raw material, being pressurized, with use of steam and air, being compressed by a compressor, driven by a gas turbine; conversion of carbon oxide with production of nitrogen-hydrogen mixture; removing carbon oxides from the mixture; extracting hydrogen out of cleaned gaseous mixture; mixing of the extracted hydrogen with a gaseous flow, enriched by nitrogen up to a stoichiometric relation of hydrogen and nitrogen, equal to 3:1; feeding prepared nitrogen-hydrogen mixture for synthesis of ammonia and in order to provide lowered energy consumption dividing the gaseous mixture before hydrogen extraction by separate flows with volumetric ratio (0.42-0.63):(0.58-0.37); extracting the hydrogen out of the second flow; mixing the extracted hydrogen with the first flow in order to receive nitrogen-hydrogen mixture of stoichiometric content; feeding a fraction, remained after the hydrogen extraction, to a turbine with pressure, equal to 95-98 % of pressure value of the mixture, being separated. Consumption of low-potential heat for hydrogen extraction consists (0.63- 0.4)Gcal/t of NHNH3; consumption of energy, calculated to a natural gas, consists (0.67-0.425)Gcal/t of NHNH3. EFFECT: lowered energy consumption. 1 cl, 1 dwg, 4 tbl
