FIELD: production of sodium nitrite out of nitrous gasses. SUBSTANCE: method of sodium nitrite production out of concentrated nitrous gasses provides for full or partial absorption of nitrogen oxides by alkaline solutions under high pressure. In the case inversion of nitrite-nitrate solutions after separation of crystal sodium nitrite out of them is carried out under pressure and blowing of nitrogen oxide is exercised by nitrous gasses, that are then sent to alkaline absorption. Nitrogen oxide blowing from inversion gasses is exercised by part of nitrous gasses, that are then mixed with main stream of nitrous gasses little by little so keeping ratio at level of 1 : 1. Nitrogen oxide residue blowing is exercised by exhaust gasses. EFFECT: method allows to decrease usage of ammonia amount and to decrease also steam, power and soda consumption per similar volume of sodium nitrite production. 3 cl, 1 dwg
